Nutritionist

The first job I researched and the job I am most interested in is being a nutritionist.  Nutritionist form diets for people and help people through the food they consume. They can diagnose problems and even help fix them all through a certain diet. Most nutritionist graduate with a Master’s degree but to work entry level you have to have at least a Bachelor’s degree. Entry level Nutritionist make $51,000 a year. They can make up to $77,000 depending on the employer and experience level.  Most Nutritionist work a 9-5 job or a similar schedule. I am interested in this career because my passion is nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle.

Teacher

The second job I researched was a high school teacher. To start  working as a teacher a Bachelor’s degree is required.  A teacher works to teach students about the topic they have a degree in. Their goal is for students to learn and flourish in class Entry level teachers make approximately $42,419 a year but can make up to $57,000 after experience. Teachers have am super steady schedule that is typically 7-3 or something that resembles that. I am only mildly interested in this career because it wouldn't be a hard or horrible job, I think I could make a classroom fun.

Journalist

The third and final job I researched was journalism. Journalist write articles for companies whether it be for a newspaper or  companies like Buzzfeed. Journalist salaries strongly vary depending on employer, category of writing, and experience. To start working as a journalist you must have a Bachelor’s degree. Entry level journalist make about $37,000. The hours a journalist works are varying, if you work in the news section of a newspaper company you could be up all night writing a breaking news story or you could work a job resembling 9-5 hours. I am interested in this career because I took the journalism class last year and I really enjoyed it and did well.

         Hello, my name is Savannah
Pangborn and this video is to let you know all about me and my dream future. The career I am most interested in Pursuing is a nutritionist . Nutritionists form diets for people and use food as medicine. Nutritionist are used in hospitals, retirement homes, and doctor’s offices. Nutritionist are also used in every Giant Eagle grocery store which is something a lot of people aren’t aware of. Some skills I possess that will help me with this career are knowledge and people skills. some skills I feel I need to develop for this career is not having a weak stomach and being able to retain information for a long period of time. To prepare for this career I can keep track of my own diet and configure calories and vitamin intake. I can also take the sports nutrition class offered at my school to get more experience with nutrition. To reach my goal I need to make sure I study and get good grades, not only in high school but also in college. I also need to save up money so I can go to college and not have to work 24/7 so I have time to study.  One career I am not interested in is anything else in the medical field. I don’t like blood and gory things so that why this career would be a bad choice for me. The other career I would be interested in would be a journalist. The only downfall to this job is that they don’t make much money. It can also be dangerous depending on what you report on. I have always had a passion for writing though but my biggest passion will always be nutrition.
